Closing Tip No 42.: When putting sales contracts together which involve an application and transfer fees (typically condominium purchases), please collect the applicable transfer fee at the time the contract is signed. This will expedite the approval process, as otherwise many management companies do not process the application until the fee is received. This practice will avoid delays, particularly in those instances where quick closings are scheduled.
